The attached track is called Lull In the Storm, written one night in 1980. The recording comes from the time I wrote it, another night in 1980. I was playing a very old Gibson J160E, identical to the Gibsons John & George used on early Beatles hits. Using basic cassette tape bouncing (ie 2 cassette recorders), I did a guitar track and a vocal track. It's all very primitive and rough and as such, has its charm ... expertise and competence, I make no claim for. But I do like the song and still play it ... Broken Dreams Vocals by Kal Di Capri Guitar & Djembe by Shel Di Capri. Written by Kal and Shel ... we went for a Phil Spector-esque sound for the percussion. Recorded at Shabby Road Studio, Penkhull.
